Trevor lives in Stanford Le Hope and has been a resident there all his life. He has a 23 year old son and lives with his wife.
Trevor has always been in employment and spent the last 35 years working in global logistics as a senior manager. He has gained broad experience ranging from sales and commercial to business development. His most recent role was based at Tilbury Port which entailed long hours and always being on call to resolve problems and deal with overseas clients. Unfortunately, he was made redundant in February and had been considering a career change.
The late working and irregular hours in his previous roles had started to affect his health so Trevor is now appreciating the opportunity to work normal hours and to spend time with his family.
Trevor has found the team spirit and comradery brilliant, he has laughed more with the team than he has in years. His goal is to upskill in the trade and make use of his existing managerial skills set where possible.
Trevor has now accepted an employment offer and has started a paid role with BasWorx, where he will complete the Level 2 Painting and Decorating apprenticeship to become qualified in the trade. He can see a potential future with the opportunities in BasWorx and hopes this is a company he can progress in.
